A short story of my experience with Stella Abuah, from 2017 to present. Few years back my siblings and I had inherited a small Tool & Die Manufacturing company and our current CFO had left the family business in chaos. Stella was hired immediately and had been dropped into a place where there was a complete chaos with our accounting system. She started with very little to no help from us because we didn’t have any clue how to help her. Stella dogged through our system and all the manual books around the office looking for ways to get help in order to do her job. She took our system manual books home every day for the first 1-2 months to study and came to the office each day to teach us something new about our accounting system and other related processes and procedures.

Everyone, including me, was learning a lot from Stella. She figured everything out all by herself and managed to find out how things worked before and repaired the damages. She reorganized the G/L Accounts, cleaned-up and helped us catch-up with the Books. She also helped with the day to day sales invoice billing, vendor bill payments, as well as handling all payroll and HR responsibilities. She created a working accounting system program for C&J and inventory tracking system that generated reports real time which helped improve our sales.

Her budgeting skills helped C&J to be on point, teaching us the importance of cash flow management on a weekly basis and also helping us to retrieve almost 98% of Accounts Receivable in revenue within 4-5 months of her stepping in as CFO. Stella has a professional work ethic like I never seen before and a very organized work habits. She had also helped us hire a full time accountant which she trained very well and this employee still works for me to date. She works with almost the same knowledge and work ethics as taught by Stella, her previous boss. Stella’s great knowledge in accounting and her professionalism had saved our business from being run-down and helped us to escape bankruptcy; for all of these reasons, I will always be grateful for her work here at C&J Metal Products.
